Eritriya Nibaro – Mahmoud Ahmed - Asmara Choir
The Saho song is a patriotic recounting of the liberation of Qarora and the chasing out of enemy forces to the Sudan. It was written by Ali Mo- hammed (Ya Asinna), a musician during the late 1960s who later went on to join the armed struggle for independence. Literally translating to “Eritrea, my motherland,” the song is a rejoicing of the people’s struggles and victories.
